Job Overview
- We are looking for an experienced Government Relations Manager to build and manage relationships with government authorities, regulators, and key public stakeholders.
- This role plays a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting business growth through effective policy engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Government & Regulatory Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies and regulators; act as main point of contact; represent the company in meetings.
- Policy Monitoring & Advisory: Monitor regulatory changes; advise senior management; prepare policy briefs and reports.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with local laws; support internal teams; identify and mitigate risks.
- Advocacy & Strategic Initiatives: Develop and execute government relations strategies; advocate for favorable outcomes; support licensing and permits.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, PR, and Operations; manage relationships with industry associations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Business, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in Government Relations / Public Affairs / Regulatory roles.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and policy processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders.
- High integrity and professionalism.
Preferred
- Experience in government agencies, regulators, or MNCs.
- Strong network within government institutions.
- Background in finance/banking (a plus).
