Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee geoscience fieldwork, data collection, and analysis.
- Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource management plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
- Analyze geoscience data and produce comprehensive reports.
- Interpret geological/geotechnical information to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements.
- Assess geological resources and reserves for various purposes.
- Contribute to resource estimation and modeling activities.
- Ensure compliance with geological/geotechnical regulations and permitting processes.
- Lead and mentor a team of geologists, geotechnical engineers and technicians.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Communicate geological/geotechnical findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Geology/Geotechnical Engineering or a related field (Master's degree desirable).
- Experience in geological and/or fieldwork, data analysis, and project management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Familiarity with geological/geotechnical regulations and compliance.
- Flexibility to work in different geological environments.
- Any relevant professional registration (Desirable)
- Demonstrate and use skills in geological/geophysical/geotechnical interpretation and modelling via the proficient use of MINEX and/or Vulcan or other geology/geotechnical computer software packages.
- Demonstrate and use skills in other necessary computer software packages (e.g. Vulcan, Deswik, CAD drafting, word processor, spreadsheet, statistical analysis, file manipulation, data logging).
- Full-time, permanent position Monday to Friday
