Role overview
Support all aspects of the environmental function for the underground Grosvenor coal mine.
Help improve mine environmental performance, maintain compliance, and deliver the Annual Environmental Plan.
The position is full-time and permanent, based at Grosvenor Mine in Moranbah, Queensland.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and report on land, vegetation, cultural heritage, water, and waste programs.
- Develop and implement Environmental Management plans and systems.
- Manage routine onsite monitoring and compliance with license conditions.
- Prepare reports, plans, statutory documentation, and regulatory assurance materials.
- Provide environmental compliance advice, land disturbance advice, and permitting support.
- Monitor disturbance activities and support environmental contractors and projects.
- Educate and coach personnel on Environmental Management System processes.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in an environmental discipline or related degree.
- Experience using ArcGIS Pro or similar mapping software.
- Familiarity with risk management processes and controls.
- Experience interpreting and analyzing environmental data.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, intermediate Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of coal mining environmental issues is highly regarded.
Schedule and work options
- Monday to Friday staff roster with a nine-day fortnight option.
- Residential, company-funded FIFO, and DIDO options are available.
