Position Summary

Workplace

• The position is onsite at a scrap yard and processing operation in Jeddah Industrial City 3.
• Work is performed in person.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage metal scrap inventory accounting for HMS 1/2, shred, turning, and busheling.
• Track weight variances, moisture deductions, and sorting loss ratios.
• Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close financial statements under GAAP and IFRS.
• Calculate processing cost per metric ton for shredding, baling, torching, and freight or transportation.
• Analyze yield margins across different scrap grades.
• Oversee accounts payable for raw scrap purchases and reconcile weighbridge records with vendor payments.
• Manage cash payouts for scrap deliveries and maintain internal controls and anti-fraud measures.
• Oversee VAT, sales tax, reverse-charge, and environmental tax filings.
• Direct, mentor, and evaluate junior accountants, scale managers, and billing staff.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum six years of experience in core accounting, including at least two years of leadership experience.
• Experience in iron and steel scrap, steel manufacturing, metals trading, or heavy recycling is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Expertise in ERP systems and integration with scrap scale management systems.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• In-depth understanding of industrial cost accounting, metric-ton yield reconciliation, and commodity price fluctuation impacts.

Pay

• Pay is SAR 4,500 to SAR 6,000 per month.
