Role overview
Chiya is a growing healthy food and beverage concept based at Yas Mall Food Hall in Abu Dhabi.
The General Accountant will own day-to-day accounting and financial controls in a fast-paced F&B environment.
The role works closely with management and operations and may support basic administration when required.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting transactions.
- Reconcile daily sales across POS, cash, card payments, and delivery platforms.
- Manage supplier invoices, payments, and statement reconciliations.
- Monitor expenses, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Monitor cash flow and highlight discrepancies or potential financial leakage.
- Assist with inventory, food cost, and cost-of-goods reporting.
- Coordinate payroll information and assist with WPS and payroll processes.
- Assist with UAE VAT preparation and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready financial records.
- Support basic administrative tasks when required.
