Job Description
The role reports to the Manager of Enterprise Solutions - Microsoft.
The incumbent supports the College's cloud adoption strategy through cloud solution development, implementation, maintenance, administration, and technical support.
The position combines software development, business analysis, technical advising, planning, operations, and platform administration.
The role emphasizes usability and effective solutions for employees, students, and partners.
Core Responsibilities
- Gather requirements from internal clients and implement solutions, configurations, and code changes.
- Document system architecture, configurations, and administrative processes.
- Maintain and optimize existing solutions, development frameworks, and development processes.
- Provide technical advice, training, guidance, and direction to clients and end users.
- Guide development staff on system integration and information sharing across business units.
- Monitor Azure changes and recommend relevant improvements to leadership.
Technical Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming and full-stack development.
- Knowledge of cloud design patterns and application and database security best practices.
- Experience with Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, and Visual Studio.
- Experience developing APIs, web services, and Service Bus or service layer solutions.
- Knowledge of Azure, Microsoft 365, Graph API, cloud analytics, and Power BI.
- Experience with DevSecOps, continuous improvement, system integration, coding, testing, and software maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Three-year diploma or degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least eight years of IT experience, including at least two years in Azure application development.
- Experience translating complex business processes into technical requirements.
- Experience planning and implementing system upgrades and customizations.
- Experience documenting application frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- A listed Azure, Google Cloud, or IEEE CSDP certification is specified in the source, but the certification list is malformed.
Compensation
- The salary range is CAD 48.07 to CAD 55.57 hourly.
- The position is paid at Payband K.
Schedule
- The position has scheduled weekly hours of 36.25.
- The anticipated start date is June 1, 2026.
Work Arrangement
- The position is eligible for hybrid work under the College's Flexible Work Arrangement Policy.
- Hybrid arrangements depend on operational requirements and position responsibilities.
- The position is not eligible for fully remote work.
