Position Overview

The Financial Analyst works as a member of the Financial Services team.

The role provides analytical assistance, financial reporting, accounting support, and consulting to areas across the College.

Compensation

  • The salary range is CAD 38.09 to CAD 44.04 per hour.
  • The position is paid at Payband H.

Schedule and Assignment

  • The position is full-time support with 36.25 scheduled hours per week.
  • The anticipated start date is October 19, 2026.
  • The assignment has a 13-month contract length.

Workplace

  • The position is eligible for hybrid work under the College's Flexible Work Arrangement Policy, subject to change.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support month-end close, contingency processes, journal entries and uploads, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review monthly and weekly journal uploads from all areas of the College.
  • Prepare internal College invoices as required.
  • Assist with year-end processes, financial statements, and scheduled or ad-hoc reports.
  • Support development and implementation of internal financial and operational controls and procedures.
  • Prepare the annual audit file and perform fiscal year-end cost audits.
  • Provide financial analysis and consulting to College areas and backup coverage for other analysts.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum three-year diploma or degree, or equivalent, in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance is required.
  • At least three years of progressive Finance or Accounting experience is required.
  • Experience with year-end processes, annual and quarterly budget reviews, and financial variance reporting and analysis is required.
