Role Overview

Expression of interest for future CRM Application Administrator / Developer opportunities supporting the evolution of Algonquin College's Salesforce platform.

The role combines Salesforce development, administration, business analysis, solution architecture, stakeholder engagement, and operational support.

The position is described as a senior, hands-on role reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Solutions Salesforce.

Salesforce Development and Delivery

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable Salesforce solutions aligned with institutional objectives.
  • Develop and maintain Apex code, Lightning Web Components, integrations, Flows, and automation solutions.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and support.
  • Contribute to system enhancements and modernization initiatives.

Analysis and Administration

  • Partner with academic and administrative stakeholders to understand business needs.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and process analysis activities.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs and scalable solutions.
  • Configure and maintain Salesforce Education Cloud, including security, permissions, data, reporting, and users.

Governance and Quality

  • Contribute to Salesforce governance, solution standards, and architectural best practices.
  • Support delivery through the College's Copado-managed DevOps and release management framework.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, quality assurance, and deployment planning.
  • Maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and development standards.

Data and Stakeholder Support

  • Support integrations between Salesforce and enterprise applications.
  • Develop reports and dashboards and promote data quality, integrity, and governance.
  • Provide technical guidance to clients, project teams, and College leadership.
  • Support end users and delegated administrators through training and advisory services.

Candidate Profile

  • Significant experience in Salesforce development, administration, business analysis, or related disciplines.
  • Experience with complex enterprise Salesforce environments and Salesforce Education Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow automation, integrations, data management, and platform capabilities.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions and communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with governance, release management, quality assurance, platform optimization, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Administrator and Platform Developer I certifications are highly valued.
  • Either Platform Developer II or JavaScript Developer I certification is highly valued.
  • A diploma or degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent combinations may be considered.

Workplace and Schedule

  • Future opportunities in this area are expected to follow a hybrid work model requiring attendance on campus a minimum of two days per week.
  • The listed schedule is 36.25 hours per week.

Compensation

  • The listed salary range is CAD 47.13 to CAD 54.48 per hour.
