Job Summary

Required Technology Skills

• Strong Java and J2EE development experience across the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with Spring Boot, web services, API integration, SQL database development, PostgreSQL, and Angular and/or React.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Mulesoft and/or Apigee, source control, common IDEs, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, exception handling, multithreading, and secure software development.
• Ability to design, query, optimize, and troubleshoot relational database solutions, including data modeling, integrity, validation, transactions, and performance.

Preferred Technology Skills

• Spring, Hibernate, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, concurrent or distributed applications, and reusable design patterns are preferred.
• Jenkins, continuous integration, Sonar, Cucumber, Selenium, TDD, BDD, Autosys, Unix scripting, and CI/CD release automation are preferred.
• Cloud-native architecture, infrastructure automation, monitoring, resource optimization, and secure containerized deployment experience are preferred.
• Financial Services industry experience is preferred.

Overall Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java, Spring Boot, J2EE, web service, API integration, UI, and SQL database components.
• Translate business requirements, support delivery planning and estimation, and contribute to all software development lifecycle phases.
• Design scalable services, interfaces, APIs, integrations, and database solutions using the assigned technology stack.
• Build, deploy, and support containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes and implement Kafka-based event-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Analysts, IT teams, Business teams, and distributed international groups.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, defect resolution, performance improvements, and technical discussions.
• Take ownership of assigned work and deliver secure, maintainable, reusable, resource-efficient solutions on schedule.

Experience Requirements

• 7–15 years of industry experience with strong Java development experience.
• Hands-on experience across the software development lifecycle, full-stack delivery, and complex technical implementation.
• Experience translating high-level business requirements into detailed functional, technical, and system requirements.
• Experience collaborating with distributed Project Management, Business Analysis, IT, and Business teams.
• Equivalent combinations of education, software development experience, full-stack delivery, and relevant similar experience may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field is expected, with equivalent relevant experience considered.
• Relevant training in Java, Spring Boot, full-stack development, API integration, databases, containers, Agile, or software development is preferred.
• Certifications in Java, cloud technologies, Kubernetes, Agile delivery, or related technical areas are preferred but not mandatory.
• Maintain continuous professional development in Java, UI frameworks, API integration, cloud-native development, software quality, security, and emerging engineering practices.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop and maintain Java, Spring Boot, J2EE, web service, API, UI, and SQL database components for product initiatives.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, requirements clarification, technical discussions, code reviews, and collaboration with delivery teams.
• Design, implement, test, troubleshoot, and document solutions using Angular and/or React, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and integration platforms.
• Make technical decisions within assigned responsibilities and deliver work aligned with quality, security, maintainability, and timeline expectations.

Professional Competencies

• Apply problem-solving and debugging skills to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Work collaboratively across international, cross-functional, IT, and Business teams while contributing technical knowledge.
