Role Overview
The Forward Deployed Engineer works across Sales, Product, R&D, and Implementation teams.
The role deploys existing products on customer data, rapidly prototypes missing capabilities, and owns technical outcomes through production adoption.
The position supports strategic pursuits for asset-intensive organizations such as utilities, energy, water, and transportation companies.
Core Responsibilities
- Own discovery, technical scoping, architecture, implementation, evaluation, productionization, adoption, and handoff for strategic solutions.
- Build, deploy, and evaluate solutions with customer data while measuring adoption, workflow impact, reliability, and time-to-value.
- Prototype rapidly for deal validation and engineer production solutions for security, reliability, observability, maintainability, and integration.
- Partner with Product and R&D to convert validated customer patterns into roadmap investments, reusable components, and platform improvements.
- Develop solution specifications with customers and update them as solutions and outcomes evolve.
- Turn recurring customer needs into reusable accelerators for future engagements.
