Forklift Driver
A Forklift Driver is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, stack, and organize goods and materials within warehouses, factories, yards, and distribution facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely according to company procedures and safety regulations.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, pallets, and storage areas.
- Transport materials and products to designated locations.
- Stack and retrieve pallets and materials safely and efficiently.
- Inspect the forklift before and after each shift and report defects or maintenance issues.
- Ensure loads are properly balanced and secured before movement.
- Follow warehouse traffic rules, speed limits, and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of materials moved when required.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Assist with stock counting and warehouse activities when required.
- Report damaged goods, unsafe conditions, or accidents to the supervisor.
- Perform routine forklift care, such as charging batteries or refueling, as authorized.
Job Specification
- High school education or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous forklift operating experience is preferred.
- Experience in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or construction environment is an advantage.
