The Food Safety & Hygiene Manager ensures that all aspects of food handling, preparation, and service comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe working environment and food-safe practices throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement food safety protocols in line with **HACCP**, **ISO 22000**, and **local regulations**.
- Conduct **regular audits** of kitchen, production, and service areas for hygiene compliance.
- Supervise and enforce **cleaning schedules**, pest control, and waste management practices.
- Train staff on personal hygiene, safe food handling, and emergency food safety procedures.
- Investigate any incidents of contamination, foodborne illness, or safety breaches.
- Maintain and update **food safety records**, risk assessments, and SOPs.
- Stay up to date with food safety laws and ensure company compliance.
- Coordinate with health authorities during inspections and certifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Safety, Public Health, Environmental Health, or related field.
- Certification in **HACCP** **Level 3 Mandatory** etc.
- 3+ years of experience in a food safety or hygiene role in F&B, catering, or hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation practices and legal compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
