Job Summary
Supports the smooth and efficient flow of restaurant service by transporting food and beverage orders between the kitchen, bar, and guest tables.
Works under the direct supervision of the Restaurant Supervisor and supports an elevated fine dining guest experience.
Service Delivery
- Collect food and beverage orders promptly from the kitchen and bar, verify accuracy and presentation, and deliver orders to the correct guest table.
- Assist waiters and the Restaurant Supervisor with table setup, clearing, and resetting between courses and covers.
- Communicate with kitchen and bar staff to track order status and ensure timely delivery, especially during peak service periods.
- Replenish table essentials throughout the guest's dining experience.
Table and Menu Support
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation, to assist waiters with accurate dish delivery.
- Clear and reset tables promptly after guests depart, keeping dining areas clean, organized, and guest-ready.
Standards and Other Duties
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and grooming standards and report service issues or guest concerns to the Restaurant Supervisor.
- Perform related operational tasks assigned by the line manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a food runner, busser, or assistant waiter.
- Experience in a high-end restaurant or hotel environment is preferred.
- Good physical stamina and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and basic food and beverage knowledge.
