Role Overview
The Food Runner supports the service team by delivering food quickly and accurately from the kitchen to guests.
The role requires efficient work in a busy, high-volume environment while maintaining presentation, hygiene, and guest-service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver food promptly to the correct tables and guests.
- Check dishes for accuracy, presentation, and completeness before leaving the kitchen.
- Announce dishes clearly and communicate allergy or dietary information.
- Coordinate with waiters, supervisors, and kitchen employees during service.
- Assist with clearing, resetting, and maintaining clean service areas.
- Handle plates and service equipment safely and professionally.
- Follow food-safety, hygiene, and brand-service standards.
- Support the wider front-of-house team during busy periods.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a Food Runner, Commis Waiter, or Waiter Assistant is preferred.
- Experience in a busy restaurant, beach club, or lifestyle-dining concept is preferred.
- Good English communication skills are required.
- The candidate should be energetic, presentable, and guest-focused.
- Strong teamwork, speed, and attention to detail are expected.
