We are seeking a Fixed Asset Management & Compliance Specialist to own the end-to-end lifecycle of fixed assets across the organization.

Responsibilities
- Manage asset onboarding, tagging, capitalization, transfers, depreciation, impairment, and retirement
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register in ERP/SAP/Oracle with accurate cost, location, custodian, and useful life data
- Process additions from CAPEX projects and ensure timely capitalization per policy
- Execute monthly depreciation runs, reconciliation of FA sub ledger to GL, and variance analysis
- Prepare fixed asset roll forward schedules, CWIP aging, and asset movement reports for month end close
- Support quarterly and annual financial reporting under IFRS/GAAP
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards IFRS 16, IAS 16, and local tax depreciation rules
- Maintain and update Fixed Asset Policy, capitalization thresholds, and useful life matrices
- Drive adherence to internal controls, SOX, and audit requirements
- Plan and execute periodic physical verification of assets across locations
- Reconcile physical counts with book records, investigate discrepancies, and process adjustments
- Act as primary contact for internal, statutory, and tax audits related to fixed assets
Requirements
- 10+ years in fixed asset accounting, compliance, or asset management
- 5+ years in a large corporate environment with multi entity/multi location asset base preferred
- Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP for fixed assets, depreciation methods, and CAPEX vs OPEX
- Familiar with IFRS 16 for leases
- Knowledge of tax depreciation and asset related tax laws
- Hands on experience with ERP FA modules: SAP FI AA, Oracle Fixed Assets, or equivalent
- Proficiency in Excel, reconciliations, and reporting tools
- Experience supporting SOX, internal audits, and statutory audits
- Strong grasp of internal controls over fixed assets and physical verification processes
- Certifications: SAP FI AA, IFRS certification, or Fixed Asset Management certification

Job Summary

- This role ensures accurate capitalization, depreciation, tracking, and disposal of assets while maintaining strict compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- You will drive asset governance, support audits, and optimize asset utilization in a corporate environment.
