About the Role
Qatar Airways is seeking a First Commis Chef to deliver exceptional service in kitchen operations for their premium lounges. The role involves setting up buffets, preparing menu items, and guiding junior chefs.

Responsibilities
- Perform daily operational tasks as per standard operating procedures, i.e., setting up of buffets and kitchen areas
- Ensure product knowledge of all food items served so that customers receive accurate information
- Responsible for marshalling and providing guidance to the Second Commis Chefs on duty
- Provide operational updates and communicate daily instances to the Chef De Partie
- Participate in the preparation of menu items and be actively involved in the presentation of buffets
- Work collectively and amicably with various team members to ensure a positive team environment
- Ensure visual appearance of the kitchen area is maintained by reporting faulty equipment, furniture or items
- Assist teams in the preparation of certain food items as directed by the Demi Chef De Partie
- Ensure all kitchen stocks are utilized on a first in, first out basis (FIFO)
Requirements
- High School Qualification with a minimum of 1 year job related experience
- English communication skills
- Ability to foster teamwork among team members

About the Role
- As a First Commis Chef, you will deliver exceptional service in all areas of kitchen operations.
- You will ensure efficient and professional processing of passenger requirements and act as an ambassador for the Qatar Airways premium product.
- Understand and demonstrate the importance of upholding the highest personal and professional standards.
Operational
- Perform daily operational tasks as per standard operating procedures i.e., setting up of buffets and kitchen areas.
- Ensure product knowledge of all food items served so that customers receive accurate information.

About You
- High School Qualification with a minimum of 01 year job related experience.
- English communication skills with Entry level roles.
- Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
