Role Overview
Support delivery of fire and life safety systems across construction, fit-out, and project-based environments.
Oversee technical execution, installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, and compliance across project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation, testing, commissioning, inspection, and maintenance of fire protection systems.
- Coordinate fire protection works with approved drawings, specifications, authorities, and MEP, civil, and architectural interfaces.
- Review IFC and shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, riser diagrams, schematics, equipment layouts, and technical details.
- Identify deficiencies and non-conformities, coordinate corrective actions, and verify compliance.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, Civil Defense, contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Prepare technical submissions, inspection requests, testing records, commissioning records, and authority documentation.
- Supervise engineers, supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors and monitor project progress, quality, and resources.
Technical Requirements
- Experience as a Fire Protection Engineer in project-based or construction environments.
- Hands-on construction and fit-out installation experience.
- Knowledge of fire pumps, sprinklers, standpipes, hose reels, hydrants, fire alarms, and fire suppression systems.
- Knowledge of UAE Fire and Life Safety requirements, the UAE Fire and Life Safety Code, and Civil Defense approvals.
- Working knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20, 22, 24, 25, 72, 101, and other applicable NFPA standards.
- Ability to review fire protection drawings, hydraulic calculations, technical documentation, and site installations.
- Experience with testing, commissioning, inspection, troubleshooting, compliance verification, and MEP coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, fire protection, electrical, or related engineering; relevant certifications are advantageous.
