Role Overview

Cash Flow and Treasury

• Maintain daily visibility of bank and cash balances and prepare rolling 13-week and year-end cash-flow forecasts.
• Monitor actual, committed, and forecast receipts and payments and identify liquidity risks.
• Reconcile cash-flow reporting to bank statements and the general ledger.
• Coordinate payment runs and comply with approval controls.

Accounting and Reporting

• Own monthly and annual close and review ledger entries, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, provisions, and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate accounting records in Odoo and ensure correct treatment of revenue, deferred income, project costs, and related-party balances.
• Prepare P&L, balance sheet, cash-flow reports, finance dashboards, budgets, forecasts, and scenario analyses.
• Analyze budget and forecast variances and support management decisions with financial models.

Working Capital and Compliance

• Monitor accounts receivable, ageing, collections, accounts payable, supplier commitments, and due dates.
• Review the financial impact of purchase orders, customer contracts, advance payments, and project costs.
• Coordinate VAT and Corporate Tax requirements with advisers and provide records to advisers and auditors.
• Maintain a finance compliance calendar and ensure adherence to IFRS, UAE requirements, and internal controls.

Process Improvement

• Improve Odoo usage, reporting quality, and data accuracy.
• Standardize templates, closing checklists, approval workflows, procedures, and responsibility matrices.
• Reduce manual reporting and introduce appropriate automation while maintaining traceability.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Six to ten years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least two years as a Financial Controller.
• Demonstrated UAE experience in VAT, Corporate Tax coordination, and statutory audit support.
• Strong monthly closing, cash-flow forecasting, balance-sheet reconciliation, advanced Excel, and English communication skills.
• Experience with Odoo or a comparable ERP is required; direct Odoo experience is preferred.
• ACCA, CMA, CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification is strongly preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, technology, project-based, or trading environments is advantageous.
