Job Profile

Financial Analyst in the Finance functional area, reporting to the Finance and Operations Manager.

The role administers project budgets and financial information across Plan International projects and activities.

The position handles confidential payroll information and includes visits to project and partner program units.

The stated contract duration is 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer project portfolio budgets and prepare budgets for donor approval.
  • Track authorized budget changes and ensure project expenses are correctly coded and recorded.
  • Set up and update budgets in required currencies in the ERP system.
  • Record project income, request funds, and consolidate project timesheets.
  • Prepare budget execution reports, explain variances, and reconcile reports with the ERP system and bank account.
  • Track donor reporting deadlines, cost recovery, budget-line execution, and exchange-rate variances.
  • Review partner reports, liquidations, expense documentation, and advance requests.
  • Follow up on audits, partner meetings, and project financial closure activities.

Experience and Core Knowledge

  • Three or more years of university studies in Public Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.
  • Experience in the design, planning, and financial monitoring of social development projects.
  • Experience developing budgets and preparing and interpreting financial reports.
  • Financial analysis skills and ability to calculate and project numerical figures.
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency, email proficiency, and ability to use ERP software.
  • Strong organization, planning, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Intermediate English is desirable.
  • Commitment to child protection, gender equality, confidentiality, and the Code of Conduct.

Travel

  • Travel availability is stated as 20% of the time.
