Overview

Our client is seeking a Finance & Operations Manager to support a regulated investment platform in Abu Dhabi.

This role will oversee financial reporting integrity, strengthen governance processes, and support operational coordination within a growing, partner-led environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial oversight, effective internal controls, and clear decision-support reporting for senior leadership.

The Role

The Finance & Operations Manager will act as the central oversight function across finance and operations, ensuring accuracy, control, and coordination within a regulated investment environment.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Review and validate monthly management accounts prepared by external finance providers
  • Oversee payroll processes and expense management controls
  • Coordinate budgeting and forecasting activities in collaboration with senior leadership
  • Strengthen internal controls and enhance financial governance frameworks
  • Act as the primary liaison between the firm and outsourced finance teams
  • Ensure timely, decision-ready reporting for Partners and senior stakeholders
  • Support cash flow monitoring and financial planning activities
  • Assist with regulatory coordination and compliance matters within ADGM
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and reporting standards consistent with a regulated environment
  • Identify and implement process improvements across finance and operational workflows
  • This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to operate independently within a dynamic setting.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent) preferred
  • 6–8 years of relevant finance or accounting experience
  • Strong background in management accounting and financial reporting
  • Experience reviewing or overseeing outsourced finance functions is advantageous
  • Exposure to regulated environments (ADGM, DIFC, asset management, investment firms, family offices) preferred
  • Solid understanding of internal controls and governance practices
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to challenge financial information constructively
  • Comfortable operating within a lean organisational structure
  • Effective communicator with the confidence to interact directly with senior leadership
