Role Overview
Own the full finance function in a startup environment.
Manage banking relationships, financing facilities, cash flow, and decision-support reporting.
Banking and Financing
- Build relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Open, manage, and optimize bank accounts and banking services.
- Negotiate working capital lines, credit facilities, and LCs or LGs.
- Prepare bank financial packages and follow approvals.
- Monitor facility utilization, repayments, covenants, and financing costs.
- Explore startup, SME, government-backed, and investor funding options.
Cash Flow and Finance
- Own daily and weekly cash position monitoring and cash flow forecasting.
- Manage collections and payables to protect liquidity.
- Prepare budgets and rolling forecasts and track actuals against plan.
- Produce monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Control costs and flag spending risks early.
Compliance and Operations
- Ensure compliance with ZATCA requirements, VAT, e-invoicing, and other filings.
- Oversee the accounting team and the accuracy of ERP or accounting records.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and banks.
- Build finance policies, controls, and processes for a growing company.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Solid mid-level finance experience and direct bank and financing-facility experience are required.
- Startup, SME, or fast-growing company experience is advantageous.
- SOCPA, CMA, CPA, or ACCA certification is a plus, not a requirement.
- Advanced Excel, ERP or accounting systems, negotiation, and relationship-building skills are required.
- Good command of Arabic and English is required.
