Role Summary
The Finance Manager owns the books, cash, payroll, and management reporting.
The role keeps the business solvent, compliant, and the directors informed.
Reports to the CEO and works within the Finance department.
Key Responsibilities
- Run bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation.
- Process monthly payroll, overtime calculations, and WPS submission.
- Manage quarterly UAE VAT filing with the Federal Tax Authority.
- Manage annual Corporate Tax filing for applicable profits.
- Produce monthly management accounts within 10 working days of month-end.
- Manage cash flow and flag risks at least eight weeks ahead.
- Own relationships with external auditors, accountants, and the bank.
- Support project managers with job-level profit and loss reporting.
- Manage equipment financing arrangements, including leases and asset finance.
- Own insurance renewals for equipment, liabilities, indemnity, and workers' compensation.
- Calculate and provision end-of-service gratuity for expatriate staff.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified accountant with ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent credentials, or strong equivalent experience.
