Reporting structure
Reports to the CEO.
Department: Finance.
May directly oversee a bookkeeper or AP-AR clerk if hired.
Provides functional oversight of HR/Admin for payroll.
Location and work arrangement
- Location: Al Khatim, Abu Dhabi.
- Work location: In person.
Key responsibilities
- Run day-to-day bookkeeping, AP/AR, and bank reconciliation.
- Process monthly payroll, including overtime calculations and WPS submission.
- Manage quarterly UAE VAT filing with the FTA.
- Manage annual UAE Corporate Tax filing.
- Produce monthly management accounts within 10 working days of month-end.
- Manage cash flow and flag risks at least eight weeks ahead.
- Own relationships with external auditors, accountants, and the bank.
- Support project managers with job-level profit and loss reporting.
- Manage equipment financing arrangements, including leases and asset finance.
- Own insurance renewals for equipment, liability, indemnity, and workers' compensation.
- Calculate and provision end-of-service gratuity for expatriate staff.
Qualifications and experience
- Qualified accountant with ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent qualification, or strong QBE experience.
- At least 5 years of finance experience.
- Project-based or rental-business exposure is preferred.
- UAE experience with VAT, Corporate Tax, WPS, and gratuity calculations is strongly preferred.
- Expertise with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or Tally is required.
- Strong Excel skills and financial-modelling capability are required.
Pay
- AED 5,598.24 to AED 6,000.00 per month.
Performance indicators
Days sales outstanding target below 60 days.
Cash-flow forecast accuracy.
Month-end close within 10 working days.
Clean audit.
On-time VAT and Corporate Tax filings.
WPS compliance with zero MOHRE penalties.
