Responsibilities
- Act as strategic financial partner to the General Manager on financial positioning of Otis UAE
- Monitor, interpret and challenge financial results and communicate issues, risks, opportunities and trends to management
- Lead the annual budgeting process for Otis UAE and its functions
- Monitor overall financial performance and identify risk mitigation strategies
- Ensure efficient and effective management of finances through financial controls, systems and processes
- Liaise with internal and external auditors and ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Advise management on changes in legislation or regulations affecting business operations
- Work with senior management to set pricing strategy ensuring cost rates provide full recovery
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in managing financial operations in a construction/engineering organization
- At least 8 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Master's degree in Finance/Accounting preferred
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or equivalent preferred

Role Overview
- The role holder is responsible for leading the financial management of Otis – UAE including highlighting strategic plans, financial budgeting, cash flow, and accounting and policy matters.
- The role holder identifies unsatisfactory processes and potential performance improvement opportunities within the Finance Department to enable business productivity.
Core Responsibilities
- Acts as a strategic financial partner to the General Manager on the financial positioning of Otis UAE.
- Monitors, interprets and challenges financial results and communicate issues, risks, opportunities and trends.
- Leads the annual budgeting process for Otis UAE and its functions.
- Monitors overall financial performance including anticipated costs/revenues, excesses/deficits.
- Ensures efficient and effective management of Otis UAE finances through all necessary financial controls.
- Liaises with internal and external auditors and ensures accuracy of financial statements.
- Ensures completeness, accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting.
- Advises management on any changes in legislation or regulations that may affect business operation.
- Works with senior management to set pricing strategy ensuring cost rates provide full recovery.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
- Master's degree in Finance/Accounting is preferred.
- Relevant certification such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in managing financial operations in a construction/engineering organization.
- At least 8 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities.
- Fluent written and spoken English essential.
