Role Overview

  • As Financial Assistant, you will be the linchpin of daily finance operations for entities worldwide (Dubai, Hong Kong, Mauritius, US, Netherlands).
  • We are looking for a detail oriented Finance Assistant to support day to day financial operations with a focus on accurate transactional processing and month end closing.

What you will do

  • Perform daily and month end bank reconciliations within Xero.
  • Assist with double entry bookkeeping and maintain general ledger.
  • Assist in preparation of month end schedules for Balance Sheet and P&L statements.
  • Support tracking of daily cash movements and basic cash flow monitoring.
  • Process supplier invoices, reconcile vendor statements, and assist with accounts receivable tracking.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proven hands on experience using Xero for daily accounting tasks.
  • Strong foundational understanding of accounting principles (balance sheet, debits/credits).
  • Direct experience executing bank reconciliations as part of month end close.
  • Basic exposure to P&L statements and cash flow tracking.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and practical problem solving approach.

Tools & Platforms

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Slack, and Asana is critical.
  • Tools in use: Xero, Shopify, Stripe, payment processors, Fathom, Spotlight.
  • Fluent English with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

What you bring to the table

  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations, ideally with international markets.
  • Proven ability to manage financial operations across multiple entities in different jurisdictions.
  • Experience with invoicing, payment processing platforms (e.g., Klarna, Stripe), and banking.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Detail oriented with strong understanding of financial compliance.
  • Proficiency in financial management software, Google Workspace, Slack, and Asana.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to integrity.
  • Must have Xero experience.
