Facility Management Officer

Role Context

Facility Management Purpose

• Manage facilities operations, premises maintenance, and workplace services across head office and branches.
• Help ensure sites are safe, reliable, cost-effective, and ready to support banking operations.

Site and Maintenance Operations

• Coordinate fit-out, furnishing, signage, utilities activation, and handover activities against launch milestones.
• Operate preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC, power, lighting, life-safety systems, and other building equipment.
• Manage cleaning, mailroom, pantry, space and desk management, and meeting facilities.

Safety and Physical Security

• Implement health-and-safety procedures, inspections, drills, records, and closure of findings under UAE requirements.
• Coordinate access control, CCTV, guarding, key management, and visitor procedures.

Vendors, Budget, and Records

• Manage facilities vendors and service contracts, monitor SLAs and quality, validate invoices, and improve performance and costs.
• Track facilities spend against budget and maintain floor plans, asset registers, permits, warranties, and service records.

Continuity and Technology

• Support business continuity, emergency preparedness, evacuation plans, facility incidents, and alternate-site arrangements.
• Use approved smart-building and AI-enabled monitoring tools for utilization, energy, equipment health, work-order triage, and reporting.

Required Skills and Experience

• 12+ years in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management within banking or financial services, including senior leadership of a procurement and vendor-management team.
• Expertise in category management, strategic sourcing, complex contract negotiation, vendor lifecycle management, and third-party risk.
• Experience building procurement policies, source-to-pay processes, vendor-governance frameworks, and outsourcing controls in a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of CBUAE outsourcing expectations and applicable third-party risk and information-security standards.
• Exposure to AI-enabled procurement tools, spend analytics, contract intelligence, and advanced supplier analytics.

Preferred Facilities Background

• 6+ years in facility management or corporate real estate operations within banking or financial services, including senior leadership of a facility-management team.
• Expertise in fit-out, building maintenance, workplace services, facilities vendors, health and safety, and physical security coordination.
• Experience building facilities procedures, maintenance programs, site-readiness plans, and vendor controls in a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of UAE health, safety, building, physical-security, and record-retention standards is preferred.
• Exposure to AI-enabled building monitoring, CAFM or digital workplace tools, and facilities analytics is preferred.
