- Accountable for overall success of daily pastry operations
- Exhibit creative baking and decorating talents while leading staff
- Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in pastry preparation
- Develop, design, or create new ideas and items for pastry kitchen
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Manage day to day operations ensuring quality and customer satisfaction
- Set and support achievement of culinary goals including budget and team goals
- Identify developmental needs of others and coach or mentor
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- OR 2 year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience
- Ability to supervise and manage employees
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards

Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.
- OR 2 year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience.
Core Work Activities
- Supervises and manages employees; understands employee positions.
- Supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and workers engaged in pastry preparation.
- Develops, designs, or creates new ideas and items for pastry kitchen.
- Follows proper handling and temperature of all food products.
- Maintains food preparation handling and correct storage standards.
- Assists the Executive Chef with menu development associated with pastry.
- Monitors and provides service behaviors above and beyond for customer satisfaction.
- Manages day to day operations ensuring quality and meeting customer expectations.
Additional Information
- Pay Range: $101,000 $134,000 annually.
- Bonus Eligible: Y.
