Job Purpose
Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the organization’s project portfolio.
Ensure projects are planned, executed and delivered in line with business objectives, budgets, timelines, quality standards and governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction across assigned projects and portfolios and oversee the full lifecycle through handover.
- Establish priorities, delivery strategies, governance frameworks and performance standards.
- Monitor risks, delays, commercial issues and dependencies and ensure mitigation measures are implemented.
- Oversee budgets, forecasts, cash flow, procurement, contracts and commercial performance.
- Lead Project Directors, Project Managers, consultants, contractors and project delivery teams.
- Coordinate departments, consultants, contractors, authorities and other stakeholders.
- Review and approve major project plans, schedules, design milestones, procurement strategies, variations and change requests.
- Ensure contractual, regulatory, health and safety and organizational compliance.
- Report project performance and recommendations to senior leadership and resolve major escalations.
- Drive continuous improvement in project management processes, governance, controls and delivery methodologies.
- Support business planning and feasibility assessments for new projects and development opportunities.
- Build relationships with clients, government authorities, strategic partners, consultants and contractors.
