Overview

  • IHG is searching for an Events & Catering Senior Sales Manager to drive sales and fill rooms, meeting suites, and banquet halls.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Lead the hotel's events sales strategy while delivering exceptional guest experiences and maximizing revenue
  • Lead and oversee daily sales and coordination activities for weddings, conferences, social events, and catering operations
  • Drive individual and team performance to consistently exceed revenue and profitability targets
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase banquet revenue, catering business, weddings, conferences, room occupancy, and food & beverage sales
  • Identify new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with key corporate clients, event organizers, wedding planners, and industry partners
  • Monitor sales performance through detailed monthly reporting, forecasting, and market analysis
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales to develop departmental strategies and achieve commercial objectives
  • Mentor and support the events sales team to maximize performance and deliver exceptional client service
  • Lead high profile client negotiations, site inspections, and event planning to ensure flawless execution and long term business partnerships

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Marketing, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in hotel sales, events, or catering within the hospitality industry, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully handling luxury weddings, large scale events, conferences, and catering operations
  • Strong knowledge of the local market, business environment, and established client network
  • Proven leadership, strategic planning, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities with a strong commercial mindset
