About the Role
A large annual Dubai festival seeks a Traffic and Transport Manager for a fixed-term contract from October to December 2026. The role involves leading traffic and transport management, liaising with Dubai Police, managing car parks, bus services, and de-rig planning.

Responsibilities
- Lead on all matters relating to traffic and transport management for the event
- Lead on liaison with Dubai Police Traffic department, via event organiser’s senior management
- Deliver the 2026 traffic and transport master plan, including both internal and external directional signage
- Manage the delivery of car park facilities across public, tournament and VIP areas of the site
- Manage the installation of all FF&E in partnership with suppliers and the production team
- Management of the public bus service, ensuring optimisation and data gathering by the resource supplier
- Liaison and coordination of other transport services, such as Careem, Zofeur and the festival bus service
- Control of VAPs; liaising with the relevant stakeholders for requirements, the Branding Manager for VAP production and the distribution of VAPs to relevant parties and individuals
- POC for vehicles requiring site access during the event, putting a process and mechanism in place to manage this
- Planning the de rig Day 1 vehicle plan in partnership with key stakeholders and the operations/site teams
- Operational management from the JOC of all traffic and transport services across the event site
- Operational management of Traffic Management contractor for traffic and transport services on the live event days
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years in traffic and transport project management
- Strong experience in delivering multi modal traffic and transport operations
- Experience in supplier management and performance management of multiple suppliers across an event
- Good team and interpersonal skills; able to develop good relationships with both commercial and government bodies
- Strong work ethic, willing to put in the hours when needed and be proactive
- Strong IT skills; office suite and project management software experience essential
- Analytical approach with the ability to process data and identify solutions quickly
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
- Arabic speaking highly desirable
- Freelancers must provide their own transport, accommodation and have a valid UAE residence visa, NOC, and health insurance
