Job Description

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project cost estimates based on detailed analyses of plans and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers to set realistic and achievable budgets and timelines.
• Monitor project costs and expenditures to keep them within the approved budget limits.
• Identify cost overruns and recommend corrective actions to mitigate financial risks.
• Prepare cost forecasts and financial reports to support organizational decision-making.
• Analyze variances between actual and estimated costs and recommend improvements for future estimates.
• Provide cost input into project schedule and timeline estimations for effective planning.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.
• Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions related to the project.
• Evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids for alignment with project financial goals.
• Assist in developing and implementing cost control procedures and systems.
• Work with finance teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, construction management, or a related field.
• A minimum of three years of experience in cost estimating or financial management.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost estimation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
• Proficiency with cost estimation and financial management software tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented project environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills for identifying and addressing financial issues.
• Experience in project-driven industries like construction or engineering is preferred.
