Role Summary

Estimating and Tender Duties

• Review contract enquiries and prepare action plans to price assigned work within requested deadlines.
• Clarify scope with clients and manage the full tender process, including site visits and tender committee meetings.
• Send enquiries to the supply chain, select suitable suppliers or manufacturing locations, and secure competitive pricing.
• Analyze supplier quotations, negotiate costs, review terms and conditions, and compare trade submissions.
• Prepare tender analysis, detailed cost information, mark-up analysis, and professional submissions for internal and client review.
• Ensure tender summary sign-off, monitor quotations, and attend client meetings as required.

Project and Commercial Coordination

• Review contract conditions, specifications, drawings, bills of materials, and other enquiry details to identify risks, discrepancies, opportunities, and qualifications.
• Coordinate with internal colleagues to produce programs and quality submissions required by the enquiry or RFQ.
• Attend handover meetings between Estimating, Operations, and Commercial teams and provide information to take projects forward.
• Apply local market experience to diversify and strengthen the supply chain beyond reliance on current vendors.

Candidate Requirements

• At least five years of experience preparing estimates in the fit-out industry is required; Qatar experience is preferred.
• A B.Tech, B.E., or diploma qualification is required.
• Knowledge of the full tender process and experience with value engineering are required.
• Experience analyzing trade comparisons and strong IT literacy, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, are required.
• The candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize tasks by impact and deadlines, and maintain quality.
• Effective written and spoken communication in business English is required.
