Role overview
Join EgisGroup's growing Environmental team as an Environmental Engineer / Geoscientist.
Support major infrastructure projects across Ontario, with a primary focus on excess soils management and hydrogeology.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate excess soils projects, hydrogeological assessments, Phase I and II environmental site assessments, remediations, waste disposal site monitoring, and designated substance surveys.
- Write proposals and establish and manage project budgets.
- Oversee technical fieldwork, analysis, and reporting.
- Liaise with clients to deliver project needs on time and on budget.
- Support other major infrastructure assignments, including Pearson Airport LIFT and Hamilton LRT projects.
Requirements
- Complete a university degree in Science or Engineering.
- Hold a P.Eng. or P.Geo. license in good standing with PEO or PGO.
- Have at least five years of experience managing or coordinating environmental site assessments, hydrogeology, and/or remediation work.
- Have field and reporting experience with environmental site assessments, remediation, hydrogeological studies, soil and groundwater sampling, and hydraulic conductivity testing.
- Know applicable Ontario environmental regulations, including regulations covering brownfields, excess soils, water resources, water taking, waste, and wells.
