Engineering Technician

Summary: Develops, evaluates, and implements cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods that support product specifications, quality standards, and operational efficiency.

Leads cross-functional teams in evaluating cell layouts, tooling, jigs/fixtures, and production operations to establish and document best practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Responsible for the development of engineering instructions using manufacturing engineering practices.
• Prepare quotations for labor, tooling, and equipment to support the business unit requirements.
• Participate in concurrent engineering design reviews.
• Evaluate and approve drawings, routings, specs, and other documents.
• Design and procure tools/equipment.
• Train employees or conduct training to introduce new processes.
• Prepare/manufacture prototypes as required utilizing the principles of concurrent engineering, currently monitors part flow, communicates design changes after jobs are released.
• Promote a productive and non-disruptive work ethic within the company.
• Investigate and validate new technologies and products for future growth.
• Develop and manage Cap Ex projects pertaining to Stellar weld equipment.
• Works on floor layout, racking, cart design, in design and implementation
• Root cause analysis.
• Continually strive to improve in all aspects of job requirements.
