Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering or technical role within a project setting, ideally with cross functional teamwork
- Professional project management certifications are desirable (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner)
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under tight deadlines
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
- Understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control processes
- Knowledge of project management principles including scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies and risk assessment techniques
- Familiarity with contracts, client management, and vendor relations
- English proficiency is mandatory; Arabic speakers are considered positively

Key Accountabilities
- Develop a comprehensive project plan that outlines scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Adjust project plans as needed to address changes in scope, timeline, or resources, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure all project activities comply with the terms and conditions of the client contract, tracking any amendments.
- Identify contract risks and communicate with legal or procurement teams as needed for support.
- Document any contract changes and obtain client approvals for modifications.
- Act as the main point of contact for the client, providing regular status updates and addressing inquiries or concerns.
- Facilitate client meetings to discuss project progress, gather feedback, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Build a strong relationship with the client, anticipating needs and providing proactive support.
- Coordinate task assignments with project engineers (PEs) and/or Discipline Leaders (DL), ensuring optimal team utilization and balanced workloads.
- Monitor team performance, providing feedback, guidance, and support to ensure timely task completion.
- Foster collaboration within the project team, encouraging open communication and teamwork.
- Develop the project budget and track actual spending against the forecasted budget.
Education
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering or technical role within a project setting, ideally with exposure to cross functional teamwork. In alternative 1 3 years of experience in associate project management role.
- Professional project management certifications are desirable (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or similar). A certification in Agile (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) can also be beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to work under tight deadlines.
- Advanced certifications or coursework in project management, engineering processes, or technical fields (optional but beneficial).
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
- Understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control processes relevant to the sector.
- Knowledge of project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies, as well as basic risk assessment techniques.

- RINA is currently recruiting for a Engineering Project Manager to join its office in Abu Dhabi, UAE, within the Energy Engineering Project Management team.
- RINA Consulting is a global engineering and consultancy company providing technical advisory, engineering, and project management services across the energy sector.
- The Energy Engineering Project Management team supports the delivery of complex projects from early concept and feasibility stages through to engineering development, owner’s engineering, technical advisory, and project execution support, with a strong focus on oil & gas, energy infrastructure, and
- The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and consulting projects, ensuring that scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations are effectively controlled throughout the project lifecycle.
- Acting as the main interface between the client, internal technical disciplines, project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders, the Project Manager will ensure alignment, timely decision making, and smooth project delivery.
- The ideal candidate has solid experience in managing complex or medium complexity projects, preferably within an engineering consultancy environment, and is confident in coordinating multidisciplinary teams across technical, commercial, and contractual aspects.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills are essential, together with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, international environment.

- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and within scope.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, principles, and best practices.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles, concepts, and calculations.
- Experience coordinating resources across multiple disciplines and functions and ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and technical specialists.
- Familiarity with engineering software is considered an advantage.
- Previous experience in consultancy companies with involvement in projects in the energy sector will be considered a plus.
