About the Role

- Oversee and coordinate the development and implementation of FEED/EPC design and detailed engineering of the project
- Coordinate the development and implementation of feasibility and techno economic studies and in house multi disciplined engineering projects
- Control project plans and budgets; ensure effective supervision and project administration
- Provide information to management on project progress
- Ensure engineering team verifies and achieves technical integrity of project deliverables
- Engage engineering team and carry out technical audits to verify compliance with specifications
- Coordinate and align all Project design reviews with the counterpart
- Review and approve critical multidiscipline engineering documents
- Monitor CONTRACTOR's overall compliance and engineering quality
- Provide input to project lesson learned register
- Monitor engineering team competencies and productivity, provide feedback and mentoring
- Identify and monitor KPIs for the function
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Minimum 20+ years working experience in the oil & gas industry
- At least 5 years in a similar role in Mega Oil and Gas offshore upstream project
- Experience handling pipeline projects during Pre FEED, FEED and EPC Phase
- Min of 5+ years of GCC Projects experience, ADNOC Projects experience is preferred
- Offshore Project Experience is Required
- Sound knowledge of industry governing codes & standards
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Job Purpose
- The Engineering Manager will oversee and coordinate the development and implementation of FEED/EPC design and detailed engineering of the project.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of feasibility and techno economic studies and in house multi disciplined engineering projects.
- Controls project plans and budgets; ensures effective supervision and project administration; provides information to management on project progress.
Key Accountabilities Technical Assurance
- Technical Integrity: Ensures the engineering team is verifying & achieving technical integrity of project deliverables in compliance with legislation, codes, basis of design, and contracts.
- Technical Audits: Engage engineering team &/or carry out technical audits to verify & ensure compliance to specifications &/or industry best practices.
- Technical/Design Reviews: Coordinate & align all Project design reviews with the counterpart, identify/assign attendees, verify compliance.
- Review & approval: review & approval of critical multidiscipline engineering documents, final approval of Engineering Technical Queries.
- Monitors CONTRACTOR’s overall compliance & engineering quality, provides feedback for observations, deviations & areas of improvements.
- Provide input to project lesson learned register.
Key Accountabilities Performance Management
- Competency management: Monitoring engineering team competencies, provide feedback, identify areas of improvement, apply mentoring & coaching.
- Productivity management: Monitoring engineering team productivity, provide feedback, define productivity targets, agree recovery plans.
- KPI’s setting: Identify & monitor a set of KPI’s for the function, inline with project/function KPI’s.
- Performance assessment: Carry out regular performance assessment with team members based on set individual KPI’s.
Key Accountabilities Resources Management
- Assess resource loading based on Project progress/forecasts reports & request additional resources as required.
- Manage/approve Engineering Team leaves & ensure handover’s & deputations are in place.
- Manage/approve Engineering Team time writing & time sheets.
- Process employees’ requests/ requirements for the assignment as per respective Project procedures.
- Address conflicts & disputes within the team & align a resolution.
Key Accountabilities Engineering Change Management
- Approval of all Engineering Concession requests issued within the CONTRACT, prior to Project management approval.
- Monitoring & ensuring Engineering design change management is carried out with proper multidiscipline impact assessment.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a MUST.
- Must be fluent in English language (Written & Spoken).
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- Minimum 20+ working experience in the oil & gas industry, with at least 5 years in a similar role in Mega Oil and Gas offshore upstream project.
- Having experience handling pipeline projects during Pre FEED+ FEED and EPC Phase.
- Min of 5+ years of GCC Projects experience, ADNOC Projects experience is preferred.
- Offshore Project Experience is Required.
