Job Purpose

  • Plan, Supervise and coordinate all major rotating equipment maintenance activities to ensure availability and reliability.
  • Utilize high skill company staff, external resources, vendors and OEM to ensure major rotating equipment are operated and maintained safely with minimum down time and optimum cost.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provides decision support for production and maintenance teams for equipment testing, troubleshooting, routine equipment surveillance, start up activities, and training.
  • Develop long range plans for machinery overhaul through performance evaluations.
  • Works with production teams to ensure integrity, reliability, and sustainability of mechanical assets.
  • Provides assistance to Sr. Rotating Engineer as required.
  • Reviews required spare parts and availability.
  • Leads or supports root cause analysis investigations, solution development, and risk assessments.
  • Prepares scope of work and follows up with OEM/service provider for refurbishment/repair works.
  • Supervises major overhauls and ensures completion as per plan.
  • Provides technical support to area maintenance and operation, carries out troubleshooting and resolves chronic problems.
  • Ensures major rotating equipment history records are kept available and updated.
  • Coordinates with TE Division/TER for technical services.
  • Follows up permanent/temporary Plant change management system (PCRs) related to major equipment.

Supervision

  • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop assigned staff on relevant skills.

Budgets

  • Provide input for preparation of Section/Team/Department budgets and assist in implementation.
  • Investigate and highlight any significant variances.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

  • Implement approved policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures.
  • Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.

Performance Management

  • Contribute to achievement of approved Performance Objectives.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation.

Reports

  • Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • 6 years of relevant experience in operations & maintenance of rotating equipment within a large industrial organization, preferably in Oil and Gas.
  • Strong understanding of performance analysis and standards in Oil & Gas Production.
  • Good understanding of business planning, performance measurement and economic analysis.
  • Good understanding of relevant business processes, systems and tools.
  • Proficiency in building production performance analysis reports.
  • Awareness in business risk and controls for Plant Production within oil & gas sector.
  • Planning and Organising, Scheduling and Co ordinating, Checking, Examining and Recording.
