About the Role
ADNOC Group is seeking a Process Engineer to perform process engineering duties, troubleshoot plant operational problems, and participate in HAZOP, SIL, and HAZID studies.

Responsibilities
- Study and analyze relevant reports to monitor process engineering activities and suggest corrective actions
- Collect monthly Plant production and operating data to evaluate unit efficiencies and prepare detailed reports
- Study required modifications of technical nature to meet variations in production plans or feedstock
- Organize performance test runs to establish optimum operating parameters and identify process bottlenecks
- Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and HAZID studies pertaining to proposed modifications
- Develop tools for Plant process monitoring and yield prediction using computer simulation models
- Participate in root cause analysis studies and incident investigations, and prepare necessary reports
- Participate in risk assessments for proposed modifications
- Provide technical services and assistance to other areas such as Instrumentation, Maintenance, and Inspection
- Provide process engineering support for Alarm Management System, Advanced Process Control, Control Loop Performance Monitoring, and Real Time Optimization
- Review and provide comments on process engineering documents, drawings, and P&IDs
- Conduct feasibility and optimization studies at Site level to facilitate cost efficient decision making
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Chemical, Petroleum, Process Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
- 6 years of experience in process / design engineering in a large organization, preferably in Oil and Gas industry
- Knowledge of gas extraction and processing in a Plant unit operations
- Strong working knowledge in preparing specifications for processing equipment along with proficiency in PFD/P&ID development
- Working knowledge on design engineering tools/software such as HYSIS, HTRI, PI, LIMS, etc.
- Working knowledge in application of process hazard analysis (HAZOP and HAZID)
- Working knowledge in APC, AMS, CLPM, RTO and process control software
- Working knowledge in performing process engineering calculations and establish performance monitoring programs
- Technical ability in understanding relevant codes and standards
- Experience in writing analytical reports
- Knowledge of HSE procedures and practices

Job Purpose
- Perform process engineering duties. Conduct studies at the Site level and prepare the necessary reports.
- Troubleshoot plant operational problems, test, and participate in HAZOP, SIL and HAZID studies to ensure smooth running of Plant operations.
- Develop tools to monitor Plant process and apply computer simulation models and other advanced techniques to contribute to business profitability.
Key Accountabilities
- Study and analyze relevant reports including laboratory test reports, log sheets, and daily operating activity reports to monitor process engineering activities.
- Collect monthly Plant production and operating data to evaluate unit efficiencies regarding chemicals and energy consumption.
- Study required modifications of technical nature to meet variations in production plans or varying feedstock.
- Organize performance test runs for analysis of unit performance and establish optimum operating parameters.
- Participate in HAZOP, SIL and HAZID studies pertaining to proposed modifications.
- Develop tools for Plant process monitoring and yield prediction; apply computer simulation models.
- Participate in root cause analysis studies and incident investigations; prepare necessary reports.
- Participate in risk assessments for proposed modifications.
- Provide technical services and assistance to Instrumentation, Maintenance, and Inspection as required.

- Provide process engineering support for implementation, monitoring, revamping, and utilization of Advanced Process Control (APC).
- Provide process engineering support for Control Loop Performance Monitoring (CLPM) System and DCS Controllers.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Chemical, Petroleum, Process Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum Experience: 6 years of experience in process / design engineering in a large organization, preferably in Oil and Gas industry.
- Knowledge of gas extraction and processing in Plant unit operations.
- Strong working knowledge in preparing specifications for processing equipment along with proficiency in PFD/P&ID development.
- Working knowledge on design engineering tools/software such as HYSIS, HTRI, PI, LIMS, etc. and plan monitoring tools such as CPIMS.
- Working knowledge in application of process hazard analysis (HAZOP and HAZID).
- Working knowledge in APC, AMS, CLPM, RTO and process control software.
- Working knowledge in performing process engineering calculations and establish performance monitoring programs.
- Technical ability in understanding relevant codes and standards.
