Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise the maintenance activities of a wide range of instrument and control systems in the plant
- Coordinate maintenance activities with operations and other maintenance teams to ensure reliable functioning of I&C systems
- Provide technical support for equipment testing, troubleshooting, routine equipment surveillance and start up activities
- Evaluate, allocate and arrange manpower requirements for daily preventive, break down and shutdown maintenance plans
- Monitor and control required material, spares, consumables and tools
- Conduct and implement root cause analysis of equipment failures and non scheduled shutdowns
- Provide input to prepare and track forthcoming major maintenance, upgrades and obsolescence issues
- Participate in defining technical requirements, technical bid evaluation and inspection of materials on receipt
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives
- Train and develop assigned staff on relevant skills
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Instrumentation and Control or Electronics discipline or equivalent Professional Qualification
- 6 years of experience in Instrument and Control engineering and maintenance within a large industrial organization, preferably in Oil and Gas industry

Job Purpose
- Plan and supervise the maintenance activities of a wide range of instrument and control systems in the plant and coordinate these activities with operations and other maintenance teams to ensure reliable functioning of the instrument and control systems.
Maintenance Planning, Execution and Expertise
- Provide support to the operations and maintenance teams for equipment testing, troubleshooting, routine equipment surveillance and start up activities.
- Liaise with Mechanical and Electrical sections and establish seamless integration between operation and maintenance teams.
- Provide technical support in the field for execution of critical maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
- Evaluate, allocate and arrange manpower requirements for daily preventive, break down and shutdown maintenance plans.
- Assess workload, backlog and work plan and coordinate with relevant sections to complete the work plan.
- Monitor and arrange resources for effective compliance to the agreed work plan.
- Monitor and control required material, spares, consumables and tools.
- Conduct and implement root cause analysis of equipment failures and non scheduled shutdowns.
- Provide input to prepare and track forthcoming major maintenance, upgrades and obsolescence issues.
- Provide technical support for development, implementation and commissioning of new projects.
- Participate in defining technical requirements, technical bid evaluation and inspection of materials on receipt.
- Monitor performance of Contractors for assigned works to ensure quality and standards.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor Degree in Instrumentation and Control or Electronics discipline or equivalent Professional Qualification.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- 6 years of experience in Instrument and Control engineering and maintenance within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
Work Condition
- Physical Effort: Minimal
- Work Environment: A/C environment, could be exposed to prevailing weather conditions like heat, humidity and dust during occasional site visits.
