About the Role

Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise maintenance activities of instrument and control systems in the plant.
- Provide technical support for equipment testing, troubleshooting, routine surveillance, and start up activities.
- Evaluate, allocate, and arrange manpower requirements for preventive, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance plans.
- Monitor and control required material, spares, consumables, and tools.
- Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and recommend problem resolutions.
- Provide input for preparation of Department/Section budgets and assist in implementation.
- Comply with HSE policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Instrumentation and Control or Electronics discipline or equivalent Professional Qualification
- 6 years of experience in Instrument and Control engineering and maintenance within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry

Job Purpose
- Plan and supervise the maintenance activities of a wide range of instrument and control systems in the plant and coordinate these activities with operations and other maintenance teams to ensure reliable functioning of the instrument and control systems.
Maintenance Planning, Execution and Expertise
- Provide support to the operations and maintenance teams for equipment testing, troubleshooting, routine equipment surveillance and start up activities.
- Provide technical support in the field for the execution of critical maintenance activities.
- Evaluate, allocate and arrange the manpower requirements for daily preventive, break down and shutdown maintenance plans.
- Assess the workload, backlog and the work plan and coordinate with relevant sections.
- Monitor and control required material, spares, consumables and tools.
- Conduct and implement root cause analysis of equipment failures and non scheduled shutdowns.
- Provide input to prepare and track forthcoming major maintenance, upgrades and obsolescence issues.
- Provide technical support for development, implementation and commissioning of new projects.
- Participate in defining technical requirements, technical bid evaluation and inspection of materials.
Supervision
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills.
Budgets
- Provide input for preparation of the Department/Section budgets and assist in implementation.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Implement approved Department/Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures.
- Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.
Performance Management
- Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Department/Section.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve quality and efficiency.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines.
Reports
- Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor Degree in Instrumentation and Control or Electronics discipline or equivalent Professional Qualification.
