About the Role
AECOM is seeking an experienced Electromechanical Engineer for construction supervision in Dubai. The role involves supervising electromechanical works, reviewing shop drawings, coordinating with authorities, and overseeing testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and inspect electromechanical works on site, including electrical, mechanical, control, and instrumentation systems
- Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, ITPs, and as built drawings for compliance with relevant standards
- Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) for key equipment
- Identify and report non conformances, follow up on corrective actions, and ensure resolution prior to system handover
- Liaise with DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, Etisalat, DU, and other authorities for inspections, approvals, and NOCs
- Coordinate with the Contractor's electromechanical team and other discipline engineers to resolve technical and interface issues
- Oversee pre commissioning and commissioning activities, ensuring they meet approved procedures and performance requirements
- Assist in punch list preparation, system performance verification, O&M manual review, and final handover of electromechanical systems
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and commissioning activities; prepare progress reports on electromechanical works
- Provide technical support to site inspectors and junior engineers, proactively identifying and resolving technical problems
Requirements
- BE / BTech in Civil or Electrical Engineering
- Mandatory 5 years of UAE experience
- Total experience should not be less than 12 15 years
- RTA or DM approved holders are preferred

Job Description

Construction Supervision & Quality Control
- Supervise and inspect electromechanical works on site, including electrical, mechanical, control, and instrumentation systems.
- Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, ITPs, and as built drawings for compliance with relevant standards (DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, NFPA, IEC, and applicable codes).
- Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) for key equipment such as pumps, switchgear, control panels, SCADA systems, traffic signals, and ITS devices.
- Identify and report non conformances, follow up on corrective actions, and ensure resolution prior to system handover.
Coordination & Interface Management
- Liaise with DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, Etisalat, DU, and other authorities for inspections, approvals, and NOCs.
- Coordinate with the Contractor's electromechanical team and other discipline engineers to resolve technical and interface issues, ensuring seamless integration across all project disciplines.
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Oversee pre commissioning and commissioning activities, ensuring they meet approved procedures and performance requirements.
- Assist in punch list preparation, system performance verification, O&M manual review, and final handover of electromechanical systems.
Qualifications
- BE / BTech in Civil or Electrical Engineering
