Engineer, Drilling Applications

Job Purpose

Key Accountabilities

• Prepare well plans, engineering calculations, and integrated pre-well planning programs.
• Implement collision avoidance planning using industry-standard anti-collision rules and company guidelines.
• Monitor real-time wellbore positioning and apply corrective actions to prevent well-to-well interference.
• Perform torque and drag, hydraulics, and vibration modeling for complex wells.
• Provide technical assistance during drilling and support operations with planning, engineering, and optimization.
• Maintain engineering documentation on the company server for access and knowledge sharing.
• Prepare post-well performance reviews, end-of-well reports, and lessons-learned reports.
• Provide guidance on BHA design, hydraulics, torque and drag, and vibration mitigation.
• Model drilling performance using simulation software and analyze offset-well data and operational KPIs.
• Identify performance gaps and recommend tools, technologies, and optimization strategies.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental standards, operational guidelines, and company policies.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• At least 6 years of experience in drilling engineering or drilling applications.
• Knowledge of well planning and engineering principles and software.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
