Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain complete Electrical Systems including supervision, planning, scheduling, inspection
- Perform hands on maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment and control systems
- Monitor computerized maintenance system, handle notifications and work orders
- Operate and maintain HV & LV Distribution network
- Maintain switchgear, transformer, generator protection philosophy and test protection devices
- Maintain neutral and equipment earthing system
- Operate and maintain UPS, Battery Charger, Battery Banks
- Maintain SCADA, FO cable, Switchgear Protective devices
- Work with Work Permit system in Oil & Gas Industry
- Install and perform diagnostic tests on systems
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to prevent equipment breakdowns
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs
Requirements
- Trade Certificate in Electrical or higher
- Minimum 5 years experience in Electrical Machines, Power System in Oil & Gas Industry or equivalent
- Hands on experience in HV & LV Distribution network, switchgear, transformer, generator protection, SCADA, UPS
- Familiarity with hand tools and similar equipment
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office

Job Purpose and Duties
- Operation and maintenance of complete Electrical Systems including supervision, planning, scheduling, inspection.
- Hands on experience in all types of Electrical system equipment and Control system maintenance.
- Monitoring computerized maintenance system, handling of Notification, Work Order.
- Operation & Maintenance of HV & LV Distribution network.
- Maintenance of Switchgear, Transformer, Generator protection philosophy and testing of protection devices.
- Maintenance of Neutral, equipment earthing system.
- Operation & maintenance knowledge of UPS, Battery Charger, Battery Banks etc.
- Maintenance of SCADA, FO cable, Switchgear Protective devices.
- Hands on experience in working with Work Permit system Oil & Gas Industry.
- Draws attention to his ability to manage a repair department, perform preventative work, and follow safety protocols.

Main Duties
- Maintenance tasks.
- Installing and performing diagnostic tests on systems.
- Developing and implementing maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs.
- Documenting processes and maintaining service records.
- Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies.
- Optimizing efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings.
- Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations.
- Plant maintenance experience on HV Substations, switchboards up to 6.6kV, motors, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), thyristor rectifiers, and general plant electrical utilities are required.
Profile
- Trade Certificate in Electrical or higher.
- Minimum experience of 05 Years in Electrical Machines, Power System in Oil & Gas Industry, Power System Generation & Distribution Industry or equivalent.
- Familiar with different electrical systems, equipment and component with its fittings and material specifications.
- Capable to trouble shoot, maintain, repair the different electrical system, equipment and components.
- Hand on experience in HV & LV Distribution network with voltage.
- Knowledge of Neutral, equipment earthing system.
- Experience required in numerical relay protection, transformer maintenance, MV and HV cable jointing and repair, vacuum breaker maintenance, MV motor maintenance and operation and maintenance of MV motor.
- Experience that includes PLCs, HVAC, instrumentation and the use of computer based man machine interfaces is preferred.
- Switching and operating experience on plant at 415V, 6.6kV, 11KV, 33kV and 132kV is highly desirable.
- Computer literacy essential and familiarity with MS Office 2000 packages.
- Thorough knowledge of Switchgear, Transformer, Generator protection philosophy and testing of protection devices.
- Thorough operation & maintenance knowledge of UPS, Battery Charger, Battery Banks etc.
