About the Role
SPIE Global Services Energy seeks a Lifting & Rigging Foreman for a 32-month contract in Doha. The role involves supervising lifting operations, developing lift plans, and maintaining cranes and lifting equipment.

Responsibilities
- Supervise lifting and rigging operations including planning and scheduling of heavy and critical lifts.
- Develop and prepare lifting plan for critical and non critical load transportation and lifting operation.
- Diagnose faults, carry out routine maintenance, repair and overhaul of various cranes and lifting equipment such as forklift, reach stacker, overhead cranes.
- Manage third party inspection and certification of cranes and other lifting equipment.
- Work with Work Permit system in Oil & Gas Industry.
- Prepare daily reports for activities.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
- Document processes and maintain service records.
- Maintain a tidy work environment and adhere to industry regulations.
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Trade certificate in mechanical engineering
- Valid lifting and rigging certification / lifting Supervisor Certificate
- Minimum of 08 years' experience in inspection, maintenance and operation of cranes and lifting equipment within Oil and Gas industry
- Knowledge in inspection of crane wire ropes including electromagnetic inspection
- Familiar with hand tools, fasteners and similar equipment
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Computer literacy essential and familiarity with MS Office packages
- Good knowledge of English and Mathematics
- Must have a Qatari Driving license

Job description
- Responsible for supervising, lifting, and rigging operations including planning and scheduling of heavy and critical lifts.
- Developing and preparing lifting plan for critical and non critical load transportation and lifting operation.
- Exposure to Diagnoses of faults, carry out routine maintenance, repair and overhaul of various cranes and other lifting equipment.
- Exposure to the management of the third party inspection and certification of the cranes and other lifting equipment.
- Hands on experience in working with Work Permit system in Oil & Gas Industry.
- Preparation of daily Report for the activities.
- Developing and implementing maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
- Documenting processes and maintaining service records.
- Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations.
Profile
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Trade certificate in mechanical engineering, with valid lifting and rigging certification.
- Minimum of 08 years' experience in inspection, maintenance and operation of the Cranes and other lifting equipment within the Oil and Gas industry.
- Knowledge in the inspection of the crane wire ropes including the electromagnetic inspection of wire ropes.
- Familiar with hand tools, fasteners and other similar equipment.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Computer literacy essential and familiarity with MS Office 2000 packages.
- Good knowledge of English and Mathematics.
