About the Role
SPIE Global Services Energy is hiring a Senior Operator for a Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Ras Laffan, Qatar. The role involves supervising plant operations, ensuring safety procedures, and coordinating maintenance.

Responsibilities
- Supervise operation of various types of pumps, diesel engines, generators, compressors, blowers, stationary equipment such as piping, valves, waste water treatment plant.
- Ensure plant isolation procedures, lock out and tagging procedures and plant permit to work procedures.
- Supervise all related operation jobs, ensuring plant operation, isolation/de isolation, waste water plant operation, chemical preparation, etc.
- System surveillance of potable water, sewage, industrial water and landscaping network.
- Coordinate and handle non routine and emergency works.
- Ensure operational requirements are met with compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Maintain good safety standards in the maintenance section.
- Work in SAP system for job planning, work order management, work confirmation, history entry and report preparation.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering (Chemical/Environment/Mechanical or equivalent) with 07 years experience OR Diploma in engineering with 07 years experience in oil and gas or petrochemical industry
- Experience in water and chemical analysis
- Good spoken English
- Experience in operating various types of pumps, diesel engines, generators, compressors, blowers, stationary equipment such as piping, valves, and waste water treatment plant
- Familiar with plant isolation procedures, lock out and tagging procedures and plant permit to work procedures
- Preference for candidates with experience in DCS

Profile
- Degree in engineering from a recognized institution with 07 year experience or a diploma engineering with 07 year experience in oil and gas or petrochemical industry or similar system/facility.
- Experience required in water and chemical analysis.
- Good spoken English.
- Experience in operating various types of pumps, diesel engines, generators, compressors, blowers, stationary equipment such as piping, valves, and waste water treatment plant.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in DCS.
- Familiar with plant isolation procedures, lock out and tagging procedures and plant permit to work procedures.

Required authorisations
- Engineering Degree or Diploma (Chemical / Environment / Mechanical or equivalent)
- 07 years' experience.
- Nature of experience: Supervision of STP / WWTP plant / Utility plant and systems operation hands on experience
- Experience in Operation of Utilities or similar system in Oil and Gas or petrochemical industry or major utilities set up.
