About the Role
SPIE Global Services Energy seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer for a 36-month contract in Messaid, Qatar. The role involves planning, executing, and controlling projects in the oil/gas and petrochemical industries, with a focus on mechanical engineering deliverables and coordination.

Responsibilities
- Plan, prioritize, execute, monitor, and control all assigned projects' activities to meet project objectives
- Ensure necessary communication with project requisitioner, internal & external stakeholders, team members, production, and maintenance representatives
- Ensure regular reporting on projects (cost, schedule, cost phasing, forecasting, accruals, KPIs, scorecard variations etc.) and conduct regular review meetings
- Identify and follow relevant codes & standards, design basis, specifications, engineering procedure, technical requirements, and good engineering practices
- Work along with Engineering Section to develop and conduct systematic and thorough review of engineering deliverables and support to site execution
- Identify and follow the right Contract execution strategy, identify relevant suppliers to ensure high quality, cost effective purchases
- Develop all deliverables for the tendering process of equipment and services, conduct technical evaluations and necessary approvals
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University
- 10+ years of direct and relevant discipline experience in large EPCC projects related to oil/gas, petrochemical, or fertilizer industries
- Experience in ammonia and urea fertilizer projects/plants is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Profile
