CIMA+ is seeking an Electrical Project Manager for its Edmonton-based buildings engineering team.
The role requires extensive electrical engineering experience and offers the opportunity to lead projects and help shape the growing electrical team.
Projects span residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, educational, government, healthcare, and recreational facilities.
Primary responsibilities
- Contribute to the growth of the Edmonton electrical practice using expertise available across CIMA+.
- Engage with clients, maintain business relationships, and participate in Alberta business development.
- Develop the electrical group’s technical expertise and coordinate project completion.
- Analyze complex problems, select appropriate work methods, and manage project delivery.
- Supervise engineers, technicians, and support staff, including delegation and technical instructions.
- Evaluate technical work and contribute to recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and compensation management.
- Prepare and respond to proposals with the assigned team.
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of electrical engineering experience in the buildings sector.
- Eligibility for APEGA membership as a P.Eng. or P.L.Eng.
- Experience in the consulting engineering market and with Edmonton-area clients.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is required.
- Team management experience, advanced AutoCAD and Revit knowledge, and mentoring experience are assets.
- Commitment to client service, integrity, team spirit, and excellence.
Work model
- The position follows a hybrid work model with flexible hours, including work from home and the Edmonton, Alberta office.
