Role Overview

CIMA+ is seeking a Project Manager for its Municipal and Transportation Design team in Burlington or Mississauga, Ontario.

The role leads, plans, designs, and tenders municipal and transportation infrastructure projects while working closely with the Design Team.

Projects include local, collector, and arterial roads in urban and rural environments throughout Ontario.

Work Model

  • The position uses a hybrid work model with flexible work hours and can be based out of the Burlington or Mississauga office.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage transportation projects, including schedules, budgets, cost control, quality control, and work procedures.
  • Lead design and contract preparation for urban and rural road construction and reconstruction projects.
  • Coordinate environmental assessments, watermains, storm sewers, and sanitary sewers as part of infrastructure projects.
  • Supervise design work, guide technical staff, liaise with clients, review documents, prepare specifications, and resolve engineering challenges.
  • Liaise with government and regulatory or environmental authorities through permit approval processes.
  • Maintain business relationships and pursue marketing and new-client opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications in Civil Engineering.
  • At least eight years of project delivery experience, including at least five years of transportation and municipal infrastructure design experience in Ontario.
  • Professional Engineer license in Ontario and membership in the Professional Engineers Ontario organization.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary designs and construction projects.
  • Ability to mentor staff and expand their technical knowledge.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Integrity, team spirit, and commitment to excellence.

Technical Skills

  • AutoCAD/Civil3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads, Office 365, and MS Project proficiency would be an asset.
