About the Role
Airswift seeks an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician for an oil & gas role in Abu Dhabi. The position involves installation and troubleshooting of automation equipment, PLCs, EFMs, and field instrumentation.

Responsibilities
- Install and troubleshoot automation equipment used for safety systems, data acquisition, and auxiliary services
- Work closely with engineering and SCADA teams to develop and implement innovative solutions to operational challenges
- Work with instrumentation used to monitor pressure, level, flow, and valve control systems
- Develop and modify logic within PLCs and EFMs to support control of valves, pumps, and alarm systems
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in electrical or field automation within the oil & gas sector preferred
- Experience with EFMs/PLCs and field instrumentation is beneficial
- Familiarity with radio communication systems and HMIs is an advantage
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, email, internet)
- Ability to learn multiple software platforms for field device configuration
- Willingness to be on call and work unscheduled overtime
- Strong team player with a proactive approach to new projects
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid UAE driver's license is a must

Role Overview
- This role involves the installation and troubleshooting of automation equipment used for safety systems, data acquisition, and auxiliary services such as saltwater disposal (SWD), water transfer systems, and completions.
- The position works closely with engineering and SCADA teams to develop and implement innovative solutions to operational challenges.
- Technicians will regularly work with instrumentation used to monitor pressure, level, flow, and valve control systems.
- Responsibilities also include developing and modifying logic within PLCs and EFMs to support control of valves, pumps, and alarm systems.
Requirements
