Role Overview

The role supports a national authority responsible for industrial cities and zones across Saudi Arabia.

The consultant advises where, when, and how electrical infrastructure should be expanded across the authority's portfolio.

The role focuses on strategic advisory and infrastructure planning rather than hands-on electrical design or execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess substation requirements, siting, sizing, and capacity at portfolio level.
  • Develop capacity roadmaps based on current and forecast demand.
  • Advise leadership on expansion priorities and investment decisions.
  • Translate engineering assessments into business cases, investment recommendations, and strategic plans.
  • Engage government entities, ministries, utilities, industrial clients, and other stakeholders on planning and regulatory alignment.
  • Support strategic planning discussions with tenants and facility operators.
  • Prepare technical studies, executive presentations, dashboards, and recommendations using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Advise on infrastructure risks, capacity constraints, and long-term development requirements.

What We Are Looking For

  • Significant senior-level experience in electrical infrastructure planning, strategy, consulting, or advisory work.
  • Proven experience with substation planning, capacity planning, and electrical network master planning.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience across government, utilities, industrial clients, and senior leadership.
  • Knowledge of Saudi electrical and utility requirements, particularly Saudi Electricity Company standards, is highly desirable.
  • Business-fluent Arabic and English are mandatory.
